About The Position

CoxHealth is seeking a Clinic LPN/MA III for their Family Medicine department in Branson, Missouri. This role involves both administrative and clinical duties. Administrative tasks include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry. Clinical duties encompass measuring vital signs, collecting patient information, preparing patients for examination, maintaining clean rooms and equipment, and stocking supplies. A key responsibility is the administration of medications as ordered by a physician and performing specific competencies as directed by the department. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and for Medical Assistants, graduation from a formal MA training program including pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, medication administration basics, and completion of a clinical externship. For Licensed Practical Nurses, graduation from an accredited practical nursing program is required. The role demands excellent communication and computer skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to carry out delegated tasks under supervision. Certification or registration from an approved program is required for MAs, and a current LPN license is required for LPNs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Graduated from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship (for MA role).
  • Graduate of an state board accredited practical nursing program (for LPN role).
  • 1 year primary care experience (for MA role).
  • Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP (for MA role).
  • Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri (for LPN role).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficient Computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people (for MA role).
  • Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting (for MA role).
  • Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting (for LPN role).
  • IV certification in State of Missouri (for LPN role).

Responsibilities
