About The Position

Acts as a collaborative member of the clinical team to provide continuity and quality patient care. Initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, prepares patients and exam rooms for procedures, and collects specimens. Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physicians, patients, and families. Assists coworkers and draws blood as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, and change tasks frequently and quickly.
• Ability to use a computer, fax machine, and copy machine.
• Detail-oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
• BLS certification must be received within the orientation period.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a certified medical assistant program, the Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program, or CNA.
• CNA or LPN certification.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• At least one year of experience working in a clinic setting.
