About The Position

The Medical Assistant acts as a collaborative member of the clinical team, supporting continuity and quality of patient care. The role handles registration, insurance verification, scheduling, telephone calls, and returning patient calls. Clinical duties include initiating patient care assessments, collecting vital signs and specimens, preparing patients and exam rooms for procedures, and providing patient education and support to assist physicians, patients, and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Medical Assistant.
• At least one year of experience in a clinic setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, and change tasks frequently and quickly.
• Ability to use a computer, fax machine, and copy machine.
• Detail-oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
• Must receive BCLS within the orientation period.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Typing, word processing, computer, and telephone skills.
• Experience with GPMS/EMR.

Responsibilities
