About The Position

Provides professional nursing care for office patients in the Huntsville Hospital setting, following established standards and procedures. The role requires nursing knowledge and judgment to provide and evaluate patient care, respond effectively to emergencies, maintain a safe environment, and communicate and collaborate with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff. The nurse is expected to maintain confidential information, follow organizational policies and procedures, and uphold dependable, prompt, and collaborative work habits.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Alabama State Registered Nurses License.
Current CPR certification.
Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care.
Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Knowledge of the organization’s policies and procedures.
Effective work habits, including regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness.

Nice To Haves

ACLS certification preferred.
