About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Client Engagement Specialist for its detox and residential treatment facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. The role focuses on building relationships with clients and encouraging their continued commitment to treatment. The specialist may respond to client crises, occasionally facilitate groups, support and train client support staff, and document client interactions and interventions in charts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Natural leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients, develop relationships, and secure their commitment to treatment.
• Conduct client crisis interventions as needed to prevent clients from leaving treatment against medical advice (AMA).
• Occasionally facilitate groups to maintain an understanding of community needs and challenges.
• Collaborate with, direct, and train client support staff in crisis intervention and safe supervision.
• Record client interactions, reports, observations, and interventions in client charts.
