The Client Engagement Specialist (CES) is primarily responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships through consistent delivery of competitive loan product offerings and loan servicing. This role involves following up on pending cases and upcoming renewals, collaborating with Senior Management to drive business volume, evaluating loan opportunities, underwriting credit risk, and delivering executable loan commitments/agreements with competitive rates and terms to Agent/Broker clients. The credit decisioning process includes interpreting borrower financial statements, reviewing policy illustrations, and assessing policy attributes and their impact on the deal. Understanding the competition and their product offerings is crucial. The CES makes recommendations to senior management and/or underwriting on transactions. As a client-facing role, the CES is responsible for building trust and establishing/maintaining relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the process. The role also includes securing quote and renewal opportunities, reviewing executed loan documents for compliance, preparing and submitting funding packets, and managing a subset of the assigned portfolio. This management includes monitoring collateral position, calculating cross-over dates, generating notices, surrendering policies, and liquidating collateral. Regular portfolio status calls are co-led with the manager to discuss accounts with upcoming action items. The CES collaborates with their manager, The Chief Business Development Officer, the Chief Administrative Officer, and other members of the life premium team on new cases, renewals, and portfolio management. The role requires self-starters who can track territory performance against plan.
