About The Position

Safe Alliance is seeking a Client Care Specialist to support their mission of providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment. This role involves using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to provide essential services, ensure coordinated care with community partners, and maintain a welcoming environment for clients. The position also includes administrative duties such as record maintenance, grant reporting assistance, and office support, as well as stewardship activities like public speaking and community engagement. Professional development is encouraged to stay current with best practices in the field.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
Requires initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Employee must have access to transportation that allows them to meet all job requirements in a timely fashion.
Position may require staff to work outside of the typical work hours as the agency provides services 24/7.
As a condition of employment, you must be willing to submit proof of vaccination or submit testing results weekly or as outlined by the agency.
Proof of vaccination status must be provided at hiring and/or upon request by the agency.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with victims or experience in human services.
Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
Ensure coordinated client care with key community partners.
Answer calls and process referrals to screen and direct callers/referred clients as appropriate.
Greet walk-in clients and complete brief screening to provide information and direct clients as appropriate.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and comfortable reception area and victim waiting room.
Maintain confidential and accurate, up-to-date client, stakeholder, intern, and volunteer records, program and agency records in agency databases.
Partner with direct care staff to maintain up-to-date electronic client files and adhere to record retention policy for physical files.
Research, write, and manage grant reporting and grantor relationships as assigned by supervisor.
Adhere to agency and program procedures concerning documentation, Critical Incident Reports, and Client Satisfaction Surveys, and participate in the Quality Assurance process.
Assist SRC Manager with planning and administrative oversight of High-Risk team meetings.
Support office functioning by handling mail and maintaining inventory of office supplies, bus passes, petty cash, and gift cards.
Act as a liaison between TUC partners and internal Safe Alliance departments.
Work with the SRC Manager to initiate and/or evaluate programs and processes used within the SRC and make changes as needed to ensure success for TUC.
Work with SRC leadership to ensure the goals and outcomes for the program are met.
Increase awareness of victimization, prevention, and available resources through public speaking and media requests as assigned by supervisor.
Participate in community meetings and committees as assigned by supervisor.
Promote and maintain professional relationships with agency staff, volunteers, interns, stakeholders, and community partners.
Stay informed of best practices, developments and trends in the area of trauma and victimization, especially as it relates to intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and child maltreatment.
Maintain and develop skills and knowledge by attending training and ensure licensure and certifications are up to date as needed for the job.
Contribute to agency effectiveness by performing other duties as assigned.
