About The Position

Winter Park Vet is seeking a Client Advocate to join their growing team of 90 professionals. As one of the few large, family-owned practices in Central Florida for nearly 40 years, Winter Park Veterinary Hospital prides itself on caring for a diverse range of patients, including dogs, cats, reptiles, avians, pocket pets, wildlife, and even exotic animals. The Client Advocate role is more than just a receptionist position; it is the face and voice of the hospital, advocating for clients by liaising between pet parents and medical teams. This role involves educating clients, guiding them through difficult decisions with empathy, and ensuring a smooth experience from check-in to follow-up. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of veterinary experience and a desire to advance their career.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in veterinary customer care or as a veterinary technician
  • Local candidate within reasonable commuting distance
  • Empathetic, team-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Zero tolerance for drama with a focus on collaboration and great communication

Responsibilities

  • Educate and guide clients on care options at a high level
  • Communicate and problem-solve across all hospital teams
  • Support pet parents through stressful and emotional situations
  • Ensure every detail of a visit from check-in to follow-up is flawless
  • Greet clients and check them in for appointments with warmth and professionalism
  • Use our point-of-sale system to process payments and schedule future visits
  • Manage phone calls, emails, and other client communications efficiently
