About The Position

EisnerAmper is seeking a Client Accounting Manager to join their team. This role involves efficiently overseeing multiple client accounting engagements, demonstrating proficiency in bookkeeping, reviewing general ledgers, month and quarter-end close processes, managing staff, and conducting research. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the aptitude to foster professional growth among staff. This position follows a hybrid working model with offices available in La Jolla, California, and requires travel to local clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required.
  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting or public/industry mix.
  • Active CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outsourced / contract accounting roles.
  • Comfortable running the month-end closing process and reviewing financials in QuickBooks for multiple clients.
  • QuickBooks and Bill.com/Expensify skills preferred.
  • Experience onboarding new clients, performing assessments of existing accounting methods, and advising on next steps.

Responsibilities

  • Client Accounting and Outsourced Accounting for High Net Worth Individuals (HNW) and their businesses, nonprofits, and endeavors.
  • Bookkeeping, family office work, private business and trust accounting, Quickbooks work, and more.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Outsourced Accounting team on the month and quarter-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and month-end bank/General Ledger account reconciliations and generate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and tax basis accounting.
  • Work on all aspects of critical accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll and other general ledger accounting duties.
  • Identify opportunities for and assist in the design, documentation, and implementation of process improvements and increased controls to support client's growing operation.
  • Responsible for training, supervising and ongoing development of associates and seniors.
  • Build impactful relationships with clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership.
  • Support clients in-person on site with accounting consulting, data entry, and other accounting processes and procedures.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines.
  • Actively solicit new client relationships and participate in client/potential client seminars to expand networking opportunities.
