About The Position

Drive the final stages of urban transformation. As a Clerk II, you will provide high-level administrative oversight and strategic support to the Development Inspections Unit. You serve as a vital link in the land development lifecycle, ensuring that privately-constructed infrastructure—from critical transportation networks to urban landscaping—seamlessly transitions into the City’s public domain.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 High School diploma, including business subjects or completion of an appropriate Business Administration certificate program from an approved business college
  • Minimum of 2 years of general office experience, including office practices and procedures in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with contracts (e.g., Servicing Agreements)
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Practical knowledge of City applications such as POSSE, ePlan, eServices, SAP Ariba, and Remedy Digital Workplace
  • Expertise in using Google Workspace applications
  • Working knowledge of City department / branch operations, processes and policies

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support services to the Unit General Supervisor, Senior Management Staff, and other designated staff including the Director for Subdivision & Development Coordination Section and General Supervisors for other Units within the Section, as required
  • Support the Development Inspections Unit’s business practice operations
  • Provide support for meeting coordination
  • Manage and coordinate incoming inquiries from 311 Customer Relations Management (CRM), Office of the City Council, other City employees and the general public
  • Provide general administrative support, including monitoring and ordering office supplies and equipment
  • Execute clerical support services such as: Ordering and distributing health and safety supplies and equipment, Filing, data entry, transcribing, and photocopying
  • Coordinate Telecommunications changes and new requests (e.g., cellphones, laptops, desktops)
  • Maintain Online Corporate Directory Updates (including Global Address updates)
  • Manage purchasing (stationery/supplies, office equipment, furniture) and Corporate procurement card transaction review/approval
  • Perform other related responsibilities as required
