About The Position

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Casual Clerk/Cashier at our Food Store location in Choiceland, Saskatchewan. Lake Country Co-op does business differently. Requirements

  • You are 19 years of age or older, strongly service-oriented, motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • You are well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
  • You must be willing and able to obtain WHMIS and Serve it Right certifications.
  • You are attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
  • You have the ability to fulfill physical job requirements - standing, kneeling, crouching, and performing heavy lifting regularly.
  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
  • You have a flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Serve guests, pack groceries, stock, and face shelves.
  • Maintain a clean, well-kept department by promptly cleaning spills and breakage, tidying shelves, bins, and displays as needed, and keeping aisles clear of debris.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to wine, spirits, beer, tobacco, and lottery.
  • Operate point of sale system and other electronic devices to process sales.
  • Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in first out (FIFO).
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.
