About The Position

Lake Country Co-op is seeking a part-time Clerk/Cashier for its Wine, Spirits, and Beer location in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. The role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining a safe and efficient retail environment, operating the point of sale system, managing stock, and adhering to company policies, particularly concerning social responsibility and the sale of age-restricted items.

Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain Serve It Right certification.
  • Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented.
  • Attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
  • Well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Ability to fulfill physical job requirements; standing, performing regular heavy lifting, working in cooler temperatures.
  • Flexible work schedule including weekend and evening work.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail liquor industry sales experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate behaviors and actions that support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age-restricted items relating to wine, spirits, beer, tobacco, fireworks.
  • Maintain a clean and well-merchandised area including dusting displays, washing shelves and bottles, sweeping, mopping, and exterior cleaning as needed.
  • Operate point of sale (POS) system and other electronic devices and process sales.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure product freshness and rotation.
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
