About The Position

Lake Country Co-op is seeking a part-time Clerk/Cashier for its Wine, Spirits, and Beer location in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. The role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining a safe and efficient retail environment, operating the point of sale system, managing stock, and adhering to company policies, particularly concerning social responsibility and the sale of age-restricted items.

Requirements

Must be 19 years of age or older.
Must be willing and able to obtain Serve It Right certification.
Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented.
Attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
Well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision.
Ability to fulfill physical job requirements; standing, performing regular heavy lifting, working in cooler temperatures.
Flexible work schedule including weekend and evening work.

Nice To Haves

Retail liquor industry sales experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate behaviors and actions that support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles with a strong customer-focused approach.
Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age-restricted items relating to wine, spirits, beer, tobacco, fireworks.
Maintain a clean and well-merchandised area including dusting displays, washing shelves and bottles, sweeping, mopping, and exterior cleaning as needed.
Operate point of sale (POS) system and other electronic devices and process sales.
Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure product freshness and rotation.
Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
