Requirements
- Previous experience as a cake decorator or in a related field
- Knowledge of various cake decorating techniques and trends
- Artistic ability and creative flair to design visually appealing cakes
- Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do
- Well organized, and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
- Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices
- Ability to lift and load products: extensive physical labour is required
- Flexible work schedule; weekend and evening work is required
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
- Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and Lake Country Co-operative standards.
- Arrange and display decorated cakes in an attractive manner, both in the display cases and on special occasions
- Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department
- Efficiently manage time to fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining the quality of work
- Maintain and display all types of bakery products according to department standards
- Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times; follow first in first out.
- Take cake orders and cake writing as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
