About The Position

Lake Country Co-op is seeking a full-time Yard Clerk for their Agro location in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. This role involves supporting the Agro Team Leader and contributing to the cooperative's vision of making a difference in members' lives through exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in agriculture, warehousing, or customer service is an asset.
  • Well organized, able to work unsupervised, and able to plan and organize own work.
  • Honest and trustworthy, results oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • Strong attention to detail and can remain calm under pressure.
  • Able to fulfill the physical job requirements; manual labour is required including pushing, pulling, crouching, and lifting and working in outdoor conditions.
  • Forklift or skid steer operation experience or willingness to obtain.
  • Carry a Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Familiar with Agrichemical Warehousing Standards (AWSA) and safe handling practices for crop protection products is an asset.
  • Knowledge of crop inputs (fertilizer, seed, pesticides) is a strong asset.
  • Flexible work schedule, seasonal peak periods may require extended hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in agriculture, warehousing, or customer service.
  • Class 3A or 1A driver's license.
  • Familiarity with Agrichemical Warehousing Standards (AWSA) and safe handling practices for crop protection products.
  • Knowledge of crop inputs (fertilizer, seed, pesticides).

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Load and unload agro & crop inputs products; maintain cleanliness, rotation, storage, and order of merchandise in the yard, compound, and storage areas.
  • Ensure product is stored safely, securely, and in compliance with regulations.
  • Pick, stage and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery.
  • Provide basic product information and direct technical questions to appropriate personnel.
  • Support the mixing/blending of fertilizer (if applicable).
  • Clean and perform minor repairs and maintenance to vehicles and equipment.
  • Record inventory movement, assist in preparing shipping documents and bills of lading report any discrepancies to management.
  • Operate skid-steer to move fertilizer in and out of appropriate locations in instructed quantities.
  • Keep the yard clean, organized and safe; perform snow removal, weed control, and other seasonal yard duties.
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
