About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Clerk / Purchasing Administrator to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. As a Maintenance Clerk / Purchasing Administrator, you will be accountable for managing maintenance purchasing activities, inventory control, and documentation while supporting maintenance planning, cost control, and operational reliability.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to prepare routine reports and communicate effectively with employees and vendors
Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Nice To Haves

5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or industrial plant environment
Experience managing maintenance storerooms, inventory metrics, and purchasing processes
Familiarity with Crystal Report Writer
Experience supporting capital projects and maintenance budgeting activities

Responsibilities

Manage maintenance purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders, negotiating pricing, and ensuring accounting compliance
Maintain spare parts inventory accuracy, service levels, and inventory turns to support equipment uptime and reliability
Utilize SAP CMMS to track inventory, reduce costs, and support maintenance planning and execution
Coordinate receiving, stocking, and physical movement of maintenance materials and spare parts
Generate and deliver weekly and monthly purchasing, inventory, and budget reports to department leadership
Support maintenance policies, procedures, and World Class Manufacturing principles within the maintenance storeroom
Represent the company professionally when working with vendors, suppliers, and external contractors
