About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Inventory Clerk for the 1st Shift. The core hours for this position are 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. Salaries are determined by candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing the continuity of shop floor material supply by scheduling and performing internal cycle counts, identifying the root causes of inventory discrepancies, collaborating with various departments to resolve inventory-related issues, and utilizing MRP and problem-solving tools to ensure inventory accuracy.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma principles utilizing: consignment, pull systems, Kanban
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or another related field.
  • APICS CSCP and/or CPIM Certification
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP planning and/or purchasing modules
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office products
  • Analytical, problem solving, project management and facilitation skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate periodic cycle counts with Material Planners and Production Supervisors
  • Perform ad-hoc inventory investigations and adjustments
  • Perform root cause analysis with appropriate tools within designated time frame (5-ways, etc.)
  • Support corrective actions for identified inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure required daily cycle counts are performed.
  • Support projects related to Material Storage and Replenishment Strategy
  • Maintain databases and work sheets for off-site replenishment inventories
  • Support planning and execution of annual Physical Inventory
  • Participate in continuous improvement and 5S events
  • Execute transactions for vendor services materials
  • Support data accuracy by resolving COGIs, GRIR, MRBR, and other goods-receipt related activities (production orders and purchase orders).
