Requirements

  • Current residency within the State of Wisconsin
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic proficiency in all related computer and software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • At least one (1) year experience in an office clerical or administrative setting, with exposure to customer service

Responsibilities

  • Entering, updating, and maintaining booking packets, mailing, court, and warrant records.
  • Interacting with court staff, court officers, law enforcement personnel, and addressing inquiries from the public.
  • Collecting monies owed for bond payments and other law enforcement agencies.
  • Registering and monitoring onsite personal video visiting.
  • Arrest data entry pertaining to individuals' names, demographics, charges, bonds, detainers, and notifications.
  • Printing applicable court paperwork, assigning court dates, and making necessary photocopies for dissemination.
  • Ensuring MCSO entries are correct and complete in the TIME System and communicating with courts and other entities for validation.
  • Disseminating information via phone and direct public contact.
  • Sorting court paperwork for distribution, assisting correctional officers, filing, pulling, purging, and scanning occupant files.
  • Entering all incoming and outgoing occupant mail.
  • Serving as a liaison between the MCSO and other law enforcement agencies.
  • Updating booking records after court appearances, adding charges when applicable, and determining occupant release eligibility.
  • Assisting in the registration of personal onsite video visits and addressing public questions regarding visitation.
  • Running want and warrant checks for all onsite visitors and making necessary notifications for wanted individuals.
  • Serving as a liaison between the MCSO and HomeWav.
  • Confirming all hit requests for Milwaukee County warrants.
  • Entering, canceling, and amending all warrants, stolen vehicles, missing persons, and TRO/Injunctions.
  • Auditing and validating all warrant entries and addressing all phone calls and inquiries related to warrants.
  • Receiving, securing, and issuing receipts for bond, commitment, and warrant payments.
  • Assisting with completing the 8300 tax form and obtaining signatures.
  • Receiving instruction and completing additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
