About Reception Diagnostic Center: The Reception Diagnostic Center is a maximum‑security intake facility located in Plainfield, Indiana, with a capacity of more than 600 incarcerated adult males. All adult males entering the Indiana Department of Correction are received, assessed, and classified at this facility. Assessments include physical and mental health evaluations, addiction services screening, and education and work‑readiness reviews. This information helps determine the most appropriate long‑term facility placement. Staff coordinate comprehensive evaluations to support safety and rehabilitation. Role Overview: As a Clerical Assistant, you will be responsible for all duties and responsibilities associated with the facility packet room, record keeping, electronic filing, document archiving, and classification notifications. Individuals with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks are highly sought after and will be the most successful in this position. The position will work closely with other support staff in completing facility-required goals and tasks and will be an integral member of a successful and efficient team.
