About The Position

Cypress Rail Solutions is hiring an entry-level, hands-on Railcar Cleaning Technician to support railcar repair operations in an industrial shop environment. The role prepares railcars for inspection and repair by cleaning interiors and exteriors, removing residue, and supporting shop operations. Work helps ensure railcars meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards before proceeding to the next stage of service. The technician works under supervision and completes required safety and operational training.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment.

Comfort working in confined spaces and at heights as required.
Complete all required safety and operational training.
Pass a mandatory drug test, including random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing.
Complete a comprehensive background check.
Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Clean railcars using hand tools and approved cleaning agents.
Remove commodity residue, debris, and contaminants from railcar interiors and exteriors.
Prepare railcars for inspection, repair, and maintenance work.
Maintain clean and organized work areas in support of shop operations.
Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
Participate in safety meetings and required training programs.
Work under supervision to develop skills and improve efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
