About The Position

U.S. Servico, Inc. is hiring a part-time evening Cleaning Specialist to clean the Ayers Basement Systems building in Lansing, Michigan. The building is cleaned Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights for 4.5 hours per night, with a start time after 8 p.m. The hourly pay rate is $15, paid biweekly.

The role involves commercial cleaning and disinfecting in accordance with the customer’s scope of work and Servico standards, which are reviewed during training. Employees may work independently or as part of a team, with minimal supervision, and must arrive on time for scheduled shifts. The position requires use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and cellphone applications for timekeeping and inspection reports.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to understand and follow safety guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to bend, stand, and lift; able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use a cellphone application for timekeeping and inspection tasks.
• Reliable transportation to the job site.

Nice To Haves

• Previous commercial cleaning experience, such as in office, medical, or retail settings.
• High school diploma or GED is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Use cleaning equipment as required, such as canister or backpack vacuums, walk-behind floor scrubbers, and mopping systems.
• Use various cleaning chemicals.
• Clean and detail the facility to the customer’s satisfaction and follow the expected scope of work.
• Clean service areas according to Servico standards.
• Arrive at the location on time for every scheduled shift.
• Work in a team setting or independently with minimal supervision.
• Use cellphone applications to clock in and out, complete inspection reports, and post pictures.
• Perform basic commercial cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, detailing, dusting, wet wiping, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, and supply stocking.
