About The Position

The Cleaning Specialist cleans and maintains the appearance of the casino’s public areas and restrooms. The role includes routine floor, furniture, equipment, ash urn, trash urn, and ashtray cleaning, as well as daily cleaning of public and employee restrooms. The specialist provides outstanding guest service, responds promptly to customers, supports team projects, remains knowledgeable about current promotions and events, and follows regulatory, departmental, and company policies. The position is full-time and works the swing shift.

Requirements

Knowledge of floor machines and cleaning equipment.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Neat, professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene.
Ability to work independently.
Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes.
Ability to be physically mobile, with reasonable accommodations.
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items.
Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maneuver throughout the casino and surrounding property.
Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in mentally and physically stressful situations.
Ability to tolerate varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Clean ash urns, trash urns, and ashtrays.
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals properly.
Sweep and mop tile, brick, and concrete areas.
Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
Clean public and employee restrooms daily.
Provide outstanding service to guests.
Participate in team projects, committees, and task forces and contribute input and suggestions.
Acknowledge and respond to customers immediately.
Stay knowledgeable about current promotional programs and events.
Proactively address incidents and issues and ensure resolution with employees.
Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures ethically.
