Early Morning Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Early Morning Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating a floor scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The position also supports customer experience, store operations, safety, merchandising, and loss prevention, and is cross-trained to work in multiple store areas as business needs require. The associate communicates with management and colleagues, follows company policies and applicable labor procedures, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is located at TJ Maxx Store 1587 in American Fork, Utah. The starting pay range is $13.50 to $14.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the floor scrubber and buffer.
- Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
- Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
- Follow the company's merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer-experience practices and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
