Part Time Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Part Time Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized HomeGoods store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, surfaces, glass, and windows. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards; helps maintain store organization and recovery; and is cross-trained to support other store areas and business needs. The role also involves customer service, communication with management and associates, and compliance with company policies and labor requirements.
Requirements

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer-experience practices and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
