About The Position

The Part Time Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role operates scrubbers and buffers and performs dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows. The Cleaner follows operational, merchandising, loss prevention, health and safety, and labor standards, and is cross-trained to support multiple store areas according to business needs. The role supports customer experience and a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. It maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The Cleaner also supports front-end coverage, participates in store recovery and safety awareness, communicates with management and associates, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is part-time at Marshalls Store 0385 in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. The starting pay range is USD $13.75 to $14.25 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care.
Operate and maintain floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot clean glass and windows.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
