About The Position

The Part Time Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role involves operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing cleaning and recovery tasks throughout the store. The employee adheres to company standards for customer experience, health and safety, merchandising, operations, and loss prevention, and is cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as business needs require.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.

• Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction procedures.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including Associate meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
