About The Position
Clean and maintain assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, keeping them orderly. Work collaboratively with fellow employees, clients, and people at all levels of the organization. Follow verbal and written instructions and use basic communication skills to explain how to complete tasks. The role requires compliance with safety, environmental, and quality procedures, participation in HSEQ training, and reporting potential hazards or compliance concerns. Employment may be contingent on successfully completing a background check and, where applicable, drug and/or alcohol screening in accordance with applicable laws and company requirements.
Requirements
- No previous cleaning experience is required.
- Understand and comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
- Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate using basic communication skills.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Frequently lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift 0–10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.
Responsibilities
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures, and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Perform work assignments as part of a team and maintain a clean work area.
- Follow company procedures, policies, and rules; take direction and respond to supervision.
- Communicate professionally with the lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers.
- Fill in during staff shortages and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, and contribute to customer service and satisfaction.
- Coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in team meetings.
- Vacuum and edge floors.
- Dust assigned areas.
- Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms.
- Clean windows.
- Empty trash and transport it to the proper disposal area.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to HSEQ policies and procedures, participate in HSEQ training, and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.
