About The Position

The PT Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing routine cleaning tasks throughout the store. The cleaner also supports store operations by working in multiple areas as needed, maintaining customer experience standards, and following company policies and safety procedures. The position is located at TJ Maxx Store 0394 in Kansas City, Missouri. The starting pay range is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Operate the scrubber and buffer and maintain floor-care cleanliness standards.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and support front-end coverage needs.
Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
