About The Position

National Fitness Partners is hiring a part-time Cleaner at its Hickory, North Carolina location. The Cleaner helps provide club members with a clean, sanitized, and safe fitness environment by completing the daily cleaning checklist. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing fitness equipment, gym floors, locker rooms, restrooms, showers, and locker areas; disposing of trash; and stocking supplies throughout the club and in locker rooms. The Cleaner reports broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.

Availability is Monday through Friday, 4:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Starting pay is $11 per hour, with hourly increases at 180 days, one year, and every six months after the first year, based on the employee’s anniversary date. Shift-differential pay is available for select shifts. The job involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling; continual standing and walking; frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching; and exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Successful prior custodial experience is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete the daily cleaning checklist thoroughly to ensure all tasks are finished.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and gym floors.
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, shower facilities, and locker areas.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Stock supplies throughout the club and in locker rooms.
• Report broken or missing amenities or equipment, such as toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, or gym equipment, to the Club Manager.
