About The Position

Bunzl Safety is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cleaner/Porter for its facility in Piperton, Tennessee. The role maintains cleanliness and organization throughout warehouse, production, and common areas, helping ensure a safe, efficient, and productive workplace. The position also supports daily warehouse operations by handling waste and recycling, maintaining employee facilities, and assisting with general housekeeping. The Warehouse Porter works with warehouse and operations teams to uphold company safety, cleanliness, and workplace presentation standards.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime may be required based on business needs, including on short notice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
• Willingness to work overtime as business needs require, including short-notice overtime.
• Positive attitude and focus on supporting facility operations.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and follow safety requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse, janitorial, facility maintenance, or industrial cleaning experience.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Remove cardboard, packaging materials, and other debris from warehouse and production areas.
• Safely and efficiently operate baling equipment to process recyclable materials.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility as needed.
• Maintain clean and fully stocked employee restrooms.
• Clean and maintain break rooms and common areas daily.
• Operate floor sweepers and other cleaning equipment as needed.
• Support warehouse housekeeping initiatives and facility improvement efforts.
• Follow company safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and professional work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
