About The Position

Con Edison is a major energy utility focused on leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County. The company is making significant annual investments in integrating distributed resources, supporting electric vehicle charging, and promoting energy efficiency and clean heating technologies. The Clean Energy Senior Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the quality management of demand management programs, including energy efficiency, electrification, and demand response. This role involves managing QA & QC vendors and their deliverables, collaborating with internal teams to integrate feedback and evaluation findings, and advising colleagues on best practices for QA & QC project management. The specialist will also utilize analytical methods to improve departmental QA & QC processes, assist with vendor management tasks (invoicing, tracking, reporting), and prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders on topics like LMI energy efficiency and beneficial electrification. A key part of the role includes evaluating and reviewing project-specific technologies and strategies for compliance with program requirements and metrics. The position also requires contributing to group and department success by developing and supporting best practices for policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in quality management of demand management programs (energy efficiency, electrification, demand response).
  • Experience managing QA & QC vendors and their deliverables.
  • Ability to coordinate with other teams and incorporate feedback and evaluation findings.
  • Skills in advising peers on best practices for QA & QC project management.
  • Proficiency in applying analytical methods to enhance QA & QC processes.
  • Experience with vendor management tasks, including invoicing, tracking, and reporting.
  • Ability to prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders.
  • Experience evaluating and reviewing project-specific technologies and strategies for compliance.
  • Understanding of department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the quality management of various demand management programs, such as energy efficiency, electrification, and demand response.
  • Manage the QA & QC vendors and their deliverables.
  • Coordinate with other teams to provide feedback and incorporate evaluation findings.
  • Advise peers on best practices and methods for QA & QC project management.
  • Apply innovative analytical methods to enhance the QA & QC processes within the department.
  • Assist with vendor management tasks, such as invoicing, tracking, and reporting.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate as a QA & QC lead in different forums with stakeholders, such as LMI energy efficiency programming and beneficial electrification initiatives.
  • Evaluate and review project specific technologies and strategies for compliance with program requirements and metrics.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
  • Contribute to the success of the group and department by creating and supporting best practices for department policies and procedures.
