Persevere is a national non-profit organization and an affiliate of Vant4ge, providing a coding education program that not only teaches inmates and parolees how to code, but also provides job search and job placement services, instruction in the soft skills necessary for the work environment, life skills education, mentoring support and entrepreneurial training for their own businesses and marketing their coding services to companies nationwide. The Classroom Facilitator supports Persevere's two-week Digital Hospitality and Workforce Technology Pathway at the Federal Residential Reentry Center. This part-time, onsite role supervises and assists approximately 10-15 students per session as they complete self-paced coursework in Moodle and approved certification platforms. The schedule is Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. (18 hours per week). The position is tied to Persevere's Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development contract and continued program funding. No regular travel is required beyond commuting to the worksite.
