About The Position

ourBRIDGE for KIDS is seeking a Lead Classroom Facilitator for their afterschool program serving elementary-age students from around the world. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate daily with supervisor, co-facilitators, and volunteers to plan and deliver high-quality educational programming.
  • Lead engaging activities that foster English language growth, emotional wellbeing, and cross-cultural understanding.
  • Create a positive, trauma-informed classroom culture rooted in LERD values (Love, Education, Respect, Diversity).
  • Adapt lessons for students with varying English proficiency and make curriculum relevant and fun.
  • Monitor and support academic progress for all students.
  • Drop off and pick up students as needed.
  • Lead “Community Circles” focused on safety, relationship-building, and social-emotional learning.
  • Communicate with lead staff about logistics and classroom needs.
  • Manage classroom routines: attendance, meal distribution, cleanliness, and club activities.
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere with laughter and creativity.
  • Step in to help co-workers as needed, and support special events (some weekends/evenings).
