About The Position

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is hiring local Pick-up and Delivery / Box Truck Drivers. Drivers operate 24-, 26-, and 28-foot bobtail trucks to make pickups and deliveries at customer locations. The role includes an internal paid training program for employees interested in becoming Class A drivers. The position is described as home daily, with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekends off; the posting also notes that weekend or night work may be needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Have a clean driving record, with no DUI or positive drug/alcohol screen in the past 3 years.
• Be able to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate bobtail trucks of different sizes.
• Adapt to challenging conditions, including inclement weather and varying road conditions.
• Meet the company’s reliability standards for employees.
• Chain as needed and work in inclement weather as required.
• Be available to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
