About The Position

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is hiring local Pick-up & Delivery / Box Truck Drivers. The role involves driving 24-, 26-, and 28-foot bobtail trucks to pick up and deliver freight at customer locations. The company offers an internal paid training program for drivers interested in becoming Class A drivers. Drivers generally work Monday through Friday, with weekends off, though weekend or night availability may be needed.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid DOT medical certification.
• Clean driving record.
• No DUI or positive drug/alcohol screen in the past three years.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate bobtail trucks of different sizes.
• Adapt to challenging conditions, including inclement weather and varying road conditions.
• Meet the company’s reliability standards for employees.
• Chain as needed and work in inclement weather as required.
• Be available to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
