About The Position

Wismettac is hiring a professional, safety-minded CDL Driver to deliver food products and build positive customer relationships. The driver operates heavy-duty delivery trucks averaging 26,000 pounds, follows established routes, and provides reliable service. Most routes are local, with approximately one or two overnight hotel stays per week; occasional interstate and out-of-state deliveries may be required. Wismettac provides the hotel and a $50-per-day per diem for overnight travel. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday. Pay is $29.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours, paid bi-weekly, and a quarterly driver incentive. The role combines driving with physical work and may include helping with warehouse operations.

Requirements

Possess a valid CDL and maintain a safe, acceptable driving record.
Have previous professional delivery, freight, or commercial driving experience.
Have no current open Clearinghouse violations or other Clearinghouse status that would prevent legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Meet company and DOT driving record requirements.
Be able to perform strenuous physical work, including lifting, pulling, and pushing 50 pounds or more and maneuvering in and out of the cab.
Have working knowledge of DOT regulations and a strong commitment to safety.
Be willing to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends to meet customer needs.
Be comfortable using tablets for E-logs and electronic reporting.

Travel regionally, including occasional interstate and out-of-state deliveries, and stay overnight as required.
