About The Position

Wismettac is seeking a professional, safety-minded CDL Driver to deliver food products safely and on time while representing the company and maintaining positive customer relationships. The driver operates heavy-duty delivery trucks averaging 26,000 lbs. and follows established routes. Routes are mostly local, with approximately one or two overnight hotel stays per week; occasional interstate and out-of-state deliveries may be required. Wismettac provides the hotel and a $50 per-day per diem for overnight travel. The role combines driving with physical delivery work and may include assisting with warehouse operations. The schedule is full-time, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday. Pay is $29.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours, paid bi-weekly, and a quarterly driver incentive.

Requirements

• Possess a valid CDL and maintain a safe, acceptable driving record.
• Have previous professional delivery, freight, or commercial driving experience.
• Have no current open Clearinghouse violations or other Clearinghouse status that would prevent legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Meet company and DOT driving record requirements.
• Be able to perform strenuous physical work, including lifting, pulling, and pushing 50+ lbs. and maneuvering in and out of the truck cab.
• Have working knowledge of DOT regulations and a strong commitment to safety.
• Be willing to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends to meet customer needs.
• Be comfortable using tablets for E-logs and electronic reporting.

• Experience operating delivery trucks is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty delivery trucks on established routes and navigate safely in varying weather and traffic conditions.
• Deliver products safely and on time while maintaining positive relationships with clients.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain electronic logs (E-logs) and electronic reports using tablets.
• Load and unload merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with warehouse operations when needed.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company safety requirements.
• Work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends as needed to meet customer needs.
