About The Position

Young Supply Company is seeking a Class B Commercial Truck Driver to deliver supplies and products to company branches and customers safely and on time. Drivers maintain documentation and logs for vehicles and cargo, inspect and maintain the company-provided delivery vehicle, and keep current with applicable driving regulations and required certifications. They report delays and transportation issues to the relevant branch or customer and follow traffic laws and company policies and procedures. All employees must comply with Federal, State, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver License.
• Ability to operate large vehicles.
• Ability to navigate to various locations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to drive long distances throughout the day and possibly early in the morning.
• Possess an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a cargo vehicle driver.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding freight shipping.
• Possess a Hazmat Endorsement or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver supplies and products to company branches or customers safely and on time.
• Maintain proper documentation and logs for goods being hauled, including vehicle, cargo, and transfer logs.
• Regularly inspect and maintain the company-provided delivery vehicle to ensure it functions properly.
• Keep current on driving regulations and certifications required for the job.
• Report delays and other transportation issues to the relevant branch or, for customer deliveries, to the client.
• Obey traffic laws and company policies and procedures.
• Comply with Federal, State, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
