About The Position
SouthernCarlson is hiring a full-time Class B Commercial Driver in Sacramento, California. The driver supports customers in the construction and industrial industries by safely transporting and delivering merchandise, providing professional customer service, and maintaining compliance with company and safety procedures. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift, with hourly pay of $28.00–$30.00. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Requirements
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no restrictions.
- Experience operating vehicles over 26,000 lbs.
- Experience with flatbed trucks, air brake systems, and manual transmissions.
- Clean DMV record.
- Ability to pass DOT background and drug screening.
- Ability to lift 75–100 lbs as part of delivery responsibilities.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safely load, transport, and unload merchandise at customer locations.
- Plan efficient delivery routes and adjust for traffic or construction conditions.
- Pull and verify orders against delivery manifests.
- Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery-related issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and follow company procedures.
