Class A Dry Van Driver-OTR
About The Position
Clean Harbors is hiring an OTR Class A Dry Van Driver for its team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The route runs from Baton Rouge to Texas and Utah and averages 2,800–3,000 miles per week. Drivers average $95,000–$120,000 per year, with average weekly pay of $2,000–$2,200. Compensation includes hourly wages for all on-duty non-driving time and mileage pay. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available, and drivers have bi-weekly home time. The role involves operating tractor-trailer units and other vehicles, transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and maintaining compliance with safety, loading, transportation, and documentation requirements.
Requirements
- Class A CDL.
- At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
- HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
- Ability to use required technology, including mobile applications and computer software.
Responsibilities
- Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
- Operate tractor-trailer units and other vehicles.
- Adhere to weight requirements and ensure proper utilization of units.
- Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is properly loaded and unloaded, and secure loads appropriately.
- Placard vehicles according to Company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
- Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
