About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring an OTR Class A Dry Van Driver for its team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The route runs from Baton Rouge to Texas and Utah and averages 2,800–3,000 miles per week. Drivers have bi-weekly home time and earn an average of $95,000–$120,000 per year, with average weekly pay of $2,000–$2,200. Compensation includes hourly wages for all on-duty non-driving time and mileage pay. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available. The driver operates tractor-trailer units and other vehicles, transports hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and is responsible for safe loading, unloading, load securement, vehicle placarding, and required logs and reports. Health and safety are emphasized throughout the work. Requirements

Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
Ability to use required technology, including mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

Comply with health and safety practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Operate tractor-trailer units and other vehicles.
Adhere to weight requirements and ensure proper utilization of units.
Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is properly loaded and unloaded, and secure loads appropriately.
Placard vehicles in accordance with company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
