About The Position

NIS Express is hiring entry-level CDL-A drivers in Texas for dry van freight, primarily east of I-35. This opportunity is ideal for new CDL-A graduates who have just finished truck driving school. The company offers a comprehensive training program where new drivers are paired with a personal trainer for 4 to 6 weeks, running real freight on actual routes. Drivers will receive hands-on evaluation and will not go solo until their trainer deems them ready. During training, drivers will earn $650 per week. The job involves operating a Class A tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT regulations, hauling dry van freight, and maintaining strong on-time delivery performance. Responsibilities include staying current on ELD logs, DVIRs, and trip paperwork, as well as performing thorough equipment inspections and communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years old
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities
