About The Position

The Class A Driver operates a commercial motor vehicle to deliver products in a variety of traffic and weather conditions. The role includes completing pre- and post-trip inspections, confirming products are loaded correctly, handling required paperwork and invoices, and loading and unloading products for customers. The driver must maintain required DOT certifications and follow company safety programs, driving regulations, policies, and procedures. The position also involves learning the company’s products, inventory controls, and procedures and providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
Valid, unexpired interstate Medical Card.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds regularly.
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, and sit for long periods.
Ability to communicate effectively in English in the context of the job and safety requirements.
Ability to comply with truck driving rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Must meet or exceed minimum requirements established by Quirch Foods and FMCSR.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Perform required pre- and post-trip inspections, confirm the correct products are on the truck, complete required paperwork, and collect or submit invoices, checks, or cash when required.
Load and unload products for customers.
Maintain certifications required by DOT and the company safety program.
Develop expertise in products, inventory controls, and procedures.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
