About The Position

The Class A Driver operates a commercial motor vehicle to deliver products in varied traffic and weather conditions. The role includes inspecting the vehicle and its load, completing required paperwork, handling invoices and payments when required, and loading and unloading products for customers. The driver must maintain required DOT and company safety certifications, develop knowledge of products, inventory controls, and procedures, and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Valid, non-expired interstate Medical Card.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or walk, as well as sit for long periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English within the context of the job and safety requirements.
• Ability to comply with truck driving rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must meet or exceed minimum requirements established by Quirch Foods and FMCSR.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CMV to deliver products in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, confirm correct products are on the truck, complete required paperwork, and collect and submit invoices, checks, or cash when required.
• Load and unload products for customers.
• Maintain certifications required by DOT and the company safety program.
• Develop expertise in products, inventory controls, and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
