Super-Sod seeks an experienced, safety-conscious Class A CDL driver to transport seed, sod, soil, and other farm products and materials. The role primarily involves regional driving and moving trucks and trailers between farms, retail facilities, and commercial or residential properties. Drivers support shipping and receiving operations, make timely deliveries and pickups, and follow applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Drivers are generally home every night and use a modern fleet. The position involves operating company-owned and leased trucks, handling and operating material-handling equipment, providing customer service, and maintaining vehicles and property. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and may involve machinery noise and exhaust, enclosed spaces, heights up to 80 feet, and risks associated with heavy equipment. Personal protective gear is provided. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with actual schedules subject to change. During the harvesting season, typically March through September, Saturday work may be required, usually from 7:00 a.m. to noon, and weekly hours average 55–60 rather than the standard 40. Part-time arrangements may be considered by agreement. Travel is primarily regional interstate hauling during the business day, though some out-of-area and evening travel may be expected. The advertised pay range is $1,038–$1,600 per week. The posting also describes average total earning potential of $1,635 or more per week, a base weekly pay range of $1,000–$1,200 based on experience, license class, and route, and additional drop pay of $50–$1,000 per week. Eligible drivers may earn a quarterly safety bonus equal to 10% of quarterly base pay plus drop-pay earnings, subject to safety and performance criteria. Drivers are W-2 employees; benefits eligibility is described for employees working 30 or more hours per week.
