About The Position

Great American Transport is hiring Class A CDL drivers for a dedicated car parts account. This solo driving position pays $0.70 per mile, with drivers averaging approximately 2,500 miles per week and average earnings of $1,750. Drivers haul automotive components and return racks as part of an established transportation operation. Loads depart from the company yard in Laredo, Texas, and are delivered to locations in Illinois, Tennessee, and Mississippi. The work combines dedicated lanes with occasional floating assignments. Depending on the load, drivers may handle drop-and-hook or live loading and unloading. Weekend driving is required. Drivers are expected to make full use of their available 70-hour workweek to maximize mileage and earnings, with a 34-hour restart each week. Drivers must live within 50 miles of one of the listed hiring areas.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
Must live within 50 miles of an eligible hiring area: Irving, Texas; Waco, Texas; Laredo, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; or Austin, Texas.
Must be comfortable with multi-state routes.
Must be willing to drive over weekends.
Must be prepared to use available driving hours efficiently.
Must be comfortable with drop-and-hook and live loading and unloading.
