Class A CDL Dedicated Truck Driver
About The Position
Great American Transport is hiring Class A CDL drivers for a dedicated automotive-parts account. This solo driving position pays $0.70 per mile, with drivers averaging approximately 2,500 miles per week and average earnings of $1,750. Drivers haul automotive components and return racks as part of an established transportation operation. Loads originate from the company yard in Laredo, Texas, with deliveries to Illinois, Tennessee, and Mississippi. The role combines dedicated lanes with occasional floating assignments. Depending on the load, drivers may handle drop-and-hook or live loading and unloading. Weekend driving is required, and drivers are expected to use their available 70-hour workweek efficiently. A 34-hour restart is scheduled every week. Drivers must live within 50 miles of one of the listed hiring areas: Irving, Waco, Laredo, San Antonio, or Austin, Texas.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Live within 50 miles of an eligible hiring area: Irving, Waco, Laredo, San Antonio, or Austin, Texas.
- Comfort with multi-state routes.
- Willingness to drive over weekends.
- Preparedness to use available driving hours efficiently.
- Comfort with drop-and-hook and live loading and unloading.
