About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to make solo deliveries of livestock animal feed from Seguin, Texas, within a 300-mile radius. The route is home daily and uses a day cab with specialized bulk feed trailers. The freight involves touch work, and Ryder provides training on the equipment needed for the role. Drivers operate well-maintained trucks with 24/7 roadside maintenance support and access to fueling at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

The position pays weekly, with advertised earnings of $1,680 or more per week based on stated mileage and stop rates. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional mandatory Saturdays, and start times between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Paid training is provided. Rural-road driving experience is required; bulk tanker and pneumatic tanker operator experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including verification of drug and alcohol history with previous employers for the last three years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
• Have rural-road driving experience.

• Bulk tanker and pneumatic tanker operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver livestock animal feed solo within a 300-mile radius of Seguin, Texas.
• Comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load or unload freight, or assist with loading or unloading when required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
