About The Position

We are seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers for a local dedicated grocery lane. This position offers a consistent weekly average of $1,600-$1,680 and a yearly average of $83,600-$87,600. Drivers will enjoy home daily with a 5-day work week, and start times between 1 am and 5 am. The role involves mostly no-touch freight, but drivers may be trained to use a pallet jack for unloading assistance on other DC's accounts 2-3 days per week. Deliveries are within a 250-mile radius of Chester, NY, covering NY Hudson Valley, the 5 boroughs, Long Island, CT, and backhauls including PA. New drivers will not run NYC until they have been on the account for 6 months or longer and will train with NYC certified trainers before solo routes. The position offers a weekly pay guarantee, mileage pay, stop pay, detention pay, truck move pay, new hire training pay, safety training pay, holiday pay, and New York City stop pay.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Must have 1 year of safe driving since completing a SAP program.
• Must pass a hair follicle drug screen.
• Must have 3 months of 53' tractor-trailer experience in the past year (not counting school, dump truck/garage truck experience).
• CDL address must match hiring area.
• Must live within 40 miles of East Brunswick, NJ.
• Must work 5 days and 10 hours minimum per week to receive the weekly pay guarantee.
• Drivers will not run NYC until they have been on the account 6 months or longer.
• Drivers will train with NYC certified trainers before solo routes.

Nice To Haves

• Drivers will be trained in pallet jack usage to help unload when necessary.
• Drivers can expect to help on other dcs accounts 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries within 250 miles of Chester, NY, including NY Hudson Valley, the 5 boroughs, Long Island, CT, and PA.
• Perform backhauls throughout the same areas.
• Assist on other DC's accounts 2-3 days per week, potentially unloading with a pallet jack.
• Complete multistop loads, typically 15+ stops per week.
• Complete 2 loads per day or one long load.
• Adhere to a 5-day work week with 2 mandatory 6th days per month around major holidays.
• Complete required training, including NYC certified trainers before solo routes.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
