Class A CDL Driver
About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver to make daily deliveries to the Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin areas. The position offers consistent routes, no overnight travel, no weekend work, and full-time hours. Start times are between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, depending on route requirements and customer stops; typical workdays are 10–12 hours. Drivers are home every night. The role involves safely operating commercial vehicles, securing loads, complying with DOT and other transportation regulations, completing inspections and documentation, and providing professional customer service. The position requires load-securement work and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Ability to meet all DOT physical and licensing requirements.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform load-securement activities, including handling straps, chains, and binders.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company load-securement policies.
- Follow DOT requirements for truck weighing and weight compliance.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and accurately document findings through Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Complete and submit delivery documentation, logs, inspections, and other paperwork accurately and on time.
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and professionally while complying with federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Maintain a high level of customer service during deliveries and customer interactions.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
