About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver building products safely from the company facility to customer job sites. The driver is responsible for each delivery from departure through completion, follows assigned schedules and job directives, documents deliveries using a camera phone system, and works with a Delivery Material Handler to place and unload materials. The role may also include warehouse work and loading or unloading materials. This position does not require over-the-road travel; drivers are home every night.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Pre-employment and random drug screens are required.

• Flatbed truck experience.
• Semi tractor and trailer truck experience.
• Trailer-mounted forklift truck experience.
• Hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of every delivery by taking and uploading photos through the camera phone system.
• Check the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where materials should be set and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Provide customers with an invoice after each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials on or off trucks or into the warehouse.
